Swedish Massage
Swedish massage is effective for reducing symptoms of stress, anxiety, fatigue, muscular tension, and mental stress and can improve the body's circulatory system. The techniques involve long strokes, tapping, shaking motions, friction tapping, and kneading where pressure is applied between the bones and muscles.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue work helps reduce inflammation that causes restriction and pain; perfect for those who have overuse issues like low back and neck stiffness, CTS, tension headaches, and more. Similar to Swedish Massage, however, this technique uses deeper pressure into tissue layers to resolve fibrous tissues.
Myofascial Release
Myofascial Release works for many conditions but is ideal for headaches, muscle spasms, chronic body pain, and recurring injuries. It works by focusing on relaxing deep tissue known as fascial; easing pain and providing lasting relief. PhysioFlow myofascial release therapy involves a thorough assessment to determine the dysfunction and pain areas.
Trigger Point Therapy can treat various types of pain in what is commonly known as "muscle knots". This technique is ideal for the back, neck, shoulders, feet, arms, and hips, and tendonitis, as well as temporary pain relief for arthritis, Your therapist applies pressure on the trigger point; relieving tension and aches.
Trigger Point Release
Joint Mobilization
Joint mobilization is a manual therapy, a type of passive movement of a skeletal joint that helps nourish and improve range. Joint mobilization is helpful in cases where pain and joint tightness limit motion, as in the case of adhesive capsulitis or frozen shoulder. Joints of the elbow, wrist, and hand, where tightness is present, also benefit from this technique.
The isolytic release is a technique designed to break down adhesions between muscle fibers and connective tissue. Your massage therapist uses firm pressure with his/her hand to isolate the targeted tissue while moving the affected limb through a lengthening motion. This is a very useful technique for releasing chronic tightness in muscles and tendons.
